About the project: The research project Structure, Randomness and Computational Methods in Extremal Combinatorics (SRC-ExCo) aims to make a significant headway in the exceptionally dynamic field of study of Extremal Combinatorics, with deep ramifications in other areas of science, including Theoretical Computer Science, Network Theory, Number Theory, Operation Research, Population Dynamics and Design Theory, among others.

Beyond its commitment to academic research, this project also holds the purpose of strengthening an already thriving and robust partnership between the research group Geometric, Algebraic and Probabilistic Combinatorics (GAPCOMB) at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and the research group Combinatorics and Graph Theory at Freie Universität Berlin (FU). By fostering an environment of intense collaboration, we aim to leverage the collective expertise and resources of both institutions, ensuring that our combined efforts not only keep pace with the cutting edge but push the boundaries of knowledge in this actively evolving research area of mathematics.
